Four for Summer
Ube Turon Halo-Halo (P 275), Mais Con Yelo Halo-Halo (P 275), Knickerbocker Halo-Halo (P 295) and Mango Basque Halo-Halo (P 295), the new summer quartet by Workshop Bespoke Bakery and Patisserie by Le Petit Soufflé lets you cool down in the most decadent way yet. After all, that's what you can expect from Workshop Bespoke Bakery and Patisserie by Le Petit Soufflé.
The Ube Turon Halo-Halo combines ube halaya, macapuno, jellies, langka, beans, leche flan and ube ice cream on ube milk ice with banana turon while the Mais Con Yelo Halo-Halo is a refreshing blend of white bean jam, pastillas, corn kernels, caramelized banana and crisp banana turon on shaved milk ice. The Knickerbocker Halo-Halo is a lavish medley of fresh fruits like fresh mangoes, strawberry compote, red and green jellies, strawberry ice cream and peach mango turon over shaved coconut milk ice and finally, the Mango Basque Halo-Halo with its decadent mix of frozen Basque Cheesecake, fresh mangoes, Graham Coconut Streusel, vanilla ice cream and peach mango turon over shaved milk ice. It's a tempting selection, and choosing just one can be a challenge.
The Ube Turon Halo-Halo has been the runaway bestseller since the launch and on the day I visited Stall 20, they just completely ran out of the ingredients due to the brisk orders. I was informed by the staff that the Mango Basque Halo-Halo is a close second, as they prepared my order.
Workshop Bespoke Bakery and Patisserie by Le Petit Soufflé transforms the basic halo-halo with its components like the creamy shaved milk or coconut milk ice adding a silky smooth texture and finish to the classic dessert. The addition of fresh fruits and other indulgent components like frozen Basque Cheesecake, pastillas and leche flan brings layers of richness to the summer creations capped by a scoop of ice cream and crisp turon.
The Mango Basque Halo-Halo is halo-halo taken to a whole new level of pure indulgence with its creamy shaved milk ice and Graham Coconut Streusel adding both flavor and texture while the frozen Basque Cheesecake comes into play with its own opulent richness tempered by the fresh sweetness of mangoes. The crisp peach mango turon and vanilla ice cream completes this luxurious twist on the halo-halo.
This may be the second bestseller at Stall 20 according to the staff, but it's a real keeper. Fresh mangoes and frozen Basque Cheesecake pair well together along with the vanilla ice cream, peach mango turon, Graham Coconut Streusel and shaved milk ice for a complete package. Workshop Bespoke Bakery and Patisserie by Le Petit Soufflé clearly has summer all figured out with four tempting halo-halo creations.
