From creamy eggnogs to hot chocolate and lattes, Edsa Beverage Design Group at Stall # 21 has the season covered with their holiday offerings (more below, just scroll down). But why not start with a soothing glass of Edsa BDG's Cold Brew (R) to open up your palate?
What's Christmas without ham, right? The wittingly named Ham Burger by Beefier at Stall # 7 brings a double dose of savory richness with their juicy signature beef patty topped with Christmas ham. And it works.
It's Christmas in a bun. The bold beefy flavors are complemented by the sweet and salty notes of the ham, rounded out by the tart tomato and crisp lettuce draped with special sauce on a soft bun. The play on savory, sweet and salty flavors come together with each big bite, this one's another winning number by Beefier at The Grid Food Market. I've always been impressed by Beefier's basic and uncomplicated burgers, yet this playfully inventive Christmas variant still retains the qualities of Beefier's no-frills approach to burgers with the juicy beef patty remaining the star.
A Japanese classic gets a flavorful Christmas spin with the Quezo de Bola Tsukemen by Tsuke-Men at Stall # 4. A thick and savory broth and a cheese dip made from Quezo de Bola makes these dipping noodles another tasty option at The Grid Food Market.
Soft yet firm and chewy noodles deliver unique flavors when dipped in the creamy and mildly salty Quezo de Bola sauce. The subtle nutty notes of the noodles are given an indulgent velvety smooth finish by the Quezo de Bola dip bursting with a creamy sharpness.
Bucky's at Stall # 2 reinterprets another classic with its Meatloaf with Mushrooms, Mashed Potato and Gravy for another hearty and comforting meal at The Grid Food Market. The dish just triggers countless fond memories over meatloaf dinners at home, and this one elevates it to a higher level.
Draped in a dark rich gravy made even richer with bone marrow, this upgraded meatloaf with its hefty sides of mashed potatoes, mushrooms and vegetables is one immensely satisfying meal. Bucky's has another bestseller in its menu.
Gochu-Gang at Stall # 6 lays on the holiday vibe with the Pork Hamgyupsal, a savory offering with a thick slab of grilled pork belly draped in a sweet and smoky glaze topped with pineapples.
A full meal in itself, Gochu-Gang's Pork Hamgyupsal comes with a bowl of steamed white rice, garden-fresh and crisp lettuce and pickled vegetables. The contrasting flavors come together in a delicately balanced dish, with each bold yet distinct note complementing the other.
Chef Bruce Rickett's taqueria in BF comes to Rockwell, and now diners can enjoy his popular street tacos and other Mexican favorites without the long drive south right here at The Grid Food Market. The Enchilada Verde by La Chinesca at Stall # 10 is his take on holiday flavors, soft tortillas stuffed with tender chicken slathered in salsa verde, salsa fresca, garden-fresh and crisp lettuce and finished with a blend of cheeses.
The richness of the salsa verde, salsa fresca and fresh greens pair well with the delicate notes of the chicken making this a light yet satisfying option for the holidays. With loads of fresh flavors, the Enchilada Verde is a festive addition to the menu at La Chinesca.
There's nothing simple with the Simple Fried Egg by Babu at Stall # 8 with its complex blend of flavors and textures. And this dish will remind you that any dish, no matter how simple, becomes a satisfying meal when done well. A fried egg with its crisp edges drizzled with a sweet sauce and topped with herbs paired with rice is just one of many flavorful surprises at The Grid Food Market this holiday season. The holiday-inspired savory mains at The Grid Food Market are all must-try options. But these dishes are all off-the-menu to be served exclusively for the holidays, so hurry down The Grid Food Market at the Power Plant Mall. But who knows, if you really like these new dishes and make yourself heard, maybe you may find some of them in the regular menu.
But save room for dessert. After a satisfying meal of Porchetta from Le Chon by Happy Ongpauco-Tiu at Stall # 5, indulge in decadent local flavors like the Puto Bumbong wrapped in banana leaves...
...and Bibingka to cap your feast at The Grid Food Market with a nostalgic Filipino holiday vibe.
And there's more. Risa Chocolate at Stall # 19 brings its single origin chocolates to your table with intricate Pralines (L) and velvety smooth Gelato (R) like the Single Origin Dark Chocolate Gelato, White Choco Sans Rival Gelato and White Chocolate Strawberry Straciatella for that perfect sweet ending.
Pair your dessert with Edsa Beverage Design Group's Gingerbread Latte at Stall # 21...
...the Peppermint Hot Chocolate served with marshmallows...
...and the traditional Eggnog for a proper holiday celebration. Each serving is good for four, perfect for groups of friends and family.
