#ProudDavao: A Sumptuous Seafood Feast at Blue Posts Boiling Crab and Shrimps

Blue Posts Boiling Crabs and Shrimps formally opened their third location at SM City Davao with a grand dinner for over 300 guests in an epic seafood feast, marking another chapter in the on-going and inspiring story of a local, homegrown concept making it big. Before the massive dinner, crews began making their final checks on the stage...

...as Jennifer Ang welcomed chefs Sharwin Tee, Roland and Jackie Laudico for the grand dinner. Earlier that day, guests were treated to a preview of signature dishes (see my previous post, My Kind of Crab Mentality: Blue Posts Boiling Crabs and Shrimps Opens Third Davao Branch at SM City Davao). 

Now with three branches in Davao and two in Manila, Blue Posts Boiling Crabs and Shrimps brings Davao Pride to new culinary heights with its signature seafood dishes. Before dinner, Davao's rich cultural heritage was celebrated with performances by local artists as more guests arrived...


The festive vibe gets into high gear as the cultural presentation reached its finale, drawing cheers from the crowd. Since the first time I tried Blue Posts Boiling Crabs and Shrimps at their first branch outside Davao in SM North Edsa's The Block (see my post here at From Davao to Manila: Blue Posts Boiling Crabs and Shrimps Opens at The Block ), I always knew it was special. Just about everyone wants to see a local player succeed in the competitive food industry, and seeing Blue Posts Boiling Crabs and Shrimps open yet another branch just warms the heart. A visit to their very first branch in Lanang (check out my post, From Sea to Table: A Taste of Davao's Best at Blue Posts Boiling Crabs and Shrimps), the place where it all began, reflects a remarkable journey for the young brand as it expands its presence and reach. And yet, all the newer branches maintain that casual and laid-back feel, a signature from its first branch, threading each new milestone. It's all good vibes, and diners can feel it almost immediately at their newest branch. 

Founder Anthony Ang (L), welcomed guests at the grand dinner, thanking each one for being a part of the incredible journey of Blue Posts Boiling Crabs and Shrimps, as marketer Edgar Caper (R) introduced their latest promotional campaign for Blue Posts Boiling Crabs and Shrimps with The Bucket Lister Club.

...to formally open the third and newest branch of Blue Posts Boiling Crabs and Shrimps in SM City Davao.

And with clockwork precision, the staff of Blue Posts Boiling Crabs and Shrimps roll out buckets and bags of crabs and shrimps (L) , fresh off the kitchen, to the waiting guests. Anthony Ang (L) chats with guests during the grand dinner, making sure each table has buckets of crabs and shrimps.


Tasty starters like Blue Posts Boiling Crabs and Shrimps' crispy Calamari and Crab and Shrimp Rolls were also served that evening...


...along with buckets of fresh Shrimps Blue Posts Boil...


...and Garlic-Fried Crabs.


The Honorable Karlo Alexei Nograles, distinguished member of the House of Representatives, gives a thumbs up for another bag of Crabs in Salted Egg...


...as more bags were served to guests. Good food, good times and good vibes all around.


At the end of the grand dinner, Anthony Ang and Kenneth Hao joins the management, staff, and kitchen crews of Blue Posts Boiling Crabs and Shrimps in yet another successful chapter in the brand's young history. Beaming with Davao pride, Blue Posts Boiling Crabs and Shrimps will soon get back to work as it plots out its aggressive expansion plan with even more new branches in the pipeline.
