Long Bar at Raffles Makati presents the Exploration of Regions Cocktail Collection developed in collaboration with Möet Hennesy Philippines inspired by the flavors of the country's seven regions namely Baguio, Calabarzon, Bicol, Batangas, Mindoro, Zamboanga and Davao Del Norte. Taking a cue from the different local flavors around the country, Long Bar's talented team of mixologists created seven unique cocktails featuring the distinctive notes and character of the seven highlighted regions. With names like Little Baguio, Kahel de Bicolandia, Moringa Blast and Manzanilla Blossom, the fruity, herbal, earthy and citrus notes whisks you off to the different areas of the country with just a few refreshing sips. At Long Bar, let your palate take you on a far away local destination with its newest cocktail collection.

"We are thrilled to introduce the Exploration of Regions cocktail collection, a testament to the rich cultural heritage and flavors of the Philippines," said Anne-Sophie Hurtuad, Food & Beverage Director at Raffles Fairmont Makati Hotel. "Using some of the most known produce of each Philippine region, our mixologists have crafted these cocktails with passion and dedication aiming to take our guests on a delightful journey of taste and experience."


Premium spirits and unrestrained creative imagination combine for an insightful journey deep into our region's many stories and flavors at Long Bar. That evening, Long Bar's mixologists booked our ticket for a grand regional tour of the country's iconic flavors... 


...starting with a taste of Zamboanga in a cocktail glass. The Chavacano Sour (P 620) with its blend of Hennessy VS, lemon juice, Cointreau, simple syrup and egg white garnished with pickled spicy green mango or buro brings refreshingly sweet, sour and tart notes with just a whisper of spice to the palate. The pronounced sour sharpness from the buro is elegantly tempered by the deep lingering full-bodied notes of the premium cognac with hints of vanilla, toasted oak and cinnamon for that balanced finish.


The Purple Yam (P 620) with its distinctive color celebrates the flavors of Mindoro with its blend of Volcan Blanco Tequila, lime juice, agave nectar and ube liqueur in a sweet, nutty and indulgent libation... 


...while the Manzanilla Blossom (P 620) draws inspiration from the southern region of Batangas blended in a cocktail made with Glenmorangie X Whisky, Oloroso Sherry, lemon juice and Manzanilla syrup. Each cocktail is distinct from the other, reflecting the rich and colorful tapestry of flavors of the country's diverse regions.


In between sips, enjoy crunchy bites of Long Bar's specialty Pork Rinds (P 185) with chili and tamarind rub and once you start, well you know the rest so order up another in time for the next round of cocktails.

...with the smoky Banana Del Norte ( 620) weaving the flavors from the lush landscapes of Davao Del Norte with its blend of Glenmorangie X Whisky, Ardberg Wee Beastie Whisky, Giffard Banana du Bresil liqueur and Flor de Cana Spresso liqueur. It's a potent libation that's perfect as the final round to cap a flavorful journey of the country's different regions.
