Four years later, the long lines may have faded, but the comforting flavors remain favorites. After all, IHOP has been "spreading happiness" since 1958...
Breakfast, brunch, lunch, afternoon snacks, dinner or any other time of day when you're craving for classic IHOP flavors, you know you can have your fill at your nearest IHOP branch (for more on IHOP, see my earlier posts on the opening of the very first IHOP branch in the country at Food News: IHOP, Now Spreading Happiness at The Fort and Breakfast at IHOP from four years back, A Late Afternoon Breakfast with IHOP's Fried Chicken Dinner and A Steak Lunch at IHOP on their savory mains, Go Ahead and Stack 'Em High: IHOP's New P 25 Pancake Promotion on their previous promotion, and new menu items at New Flavors: IHOP Introduces All-New Lunch and Dinner Menu). Long after the buzz and hype of the first ever IHOP launch in the country from four years ago, I still find myself coming back for that taste of iconic IHOP classics...
Inside IHOP, the same level of enthusiastic service greets your visit. A Never-Empty Coffee Pot (P 95 per person) always kicks-off my every visit at IHOP for that satisfying fix, pairing well with the wide array of breakfast favorites, tasty starters, and savory entrees.
Can't decide on the tempting appetizers? Go for IHOP's Appetizer Sampler (P 425), a tasty platter with Monster Mozza Sticks, crunchy Onion Rings, and crispy Chicken Strips served with honey mustard and tart marinara sauces, all in one plate.
The menu at IHOP is extensive, with a wide selection of entrees like the Angus Burger Steak Rice (P 250) with 100% Angus beef draped in thick mushroom gravy served with sides of steamed rice and corn, a meal in itself.
But no visit to IHOP is complete without an order of their signature pancakes and waffles. The Chicken & Waffles (P 345), a tasty and satisfying combo with Belgian waffle and all white meat crispy chicken strips served with a thick honey mustard dip, is one meal that's great any time of day.
End your feast on a high note with IHOP's Strawberry Banana Danish Fruit Crepes (P 285), a pair of soft and sweet crepes filled with strawberries and rich cream cheese topped with more strawberries, banana slices, and whipped cream. Perfect. Four years on, it becomes easier to appreciate the simple yet comforting dishes of IHOP without the hype, knowing you can have your pancakes and waffles and more any time of day...
