The freshest seafood and a wide array of global flavors, all in one place...

It's always special revisiting a place after so long, and going back to Market Cafe at New World Manila Bay Hotel is one of those moments. One of my blog's first few posts from four years ago featured Market Cafe (more on my older posts, Surf's Up at Market Cafe and Desserts at Market Cafe), and it was great to be back...

After an exclusive and rare encounter with the famed Saga Beef at The Fireplace (more on the Saga Beef preview on my earlier post, Made in Saga: The World's Best Comes to New World Manila Bay Hotel), our feast continued at New World Manila Bay Hotel's Market Cafe with authentic Asian flavors, including pickled Korean Radish Kimchi...

...and silky smooth premium Japanese Tofu topped with fresh greens. Diners at Market Cafe have so much to choose from, and navigating the spacious linear layout makes it easy and convenient. The live interactive stations at Market Cafe adds to the dining experience, where everything is served fresh ala minute to your desired preference.

Pick up a plate and go on a culinary journey of global flavors at Market Cafe, and load up with a few slices of imported Smoked Salmon along the way...

...or a bowl of fresh greens, like the satisfying Beef, Capsicum, Pineapple in Balsamic Vinaigrette.

At Market Cafe's Fresh Seafood Station, you can choose from a wide variety of the day's freshest catch, including plump mussels...

...succulent shrimps, crabs, clams and oysters on ice. Enjoy it fresh, or have the station chefs prepare it the way you like it, baked with cheese, cooked in sweet and spicy Singaporean-style chili sauce or lightly sauteed in garlic butter drizzled with lemon, it's your call.

That day, the Carving Station at Market Cafe featured a massive slab of Prime Rib, perfectly grilled with a juicy pink center. You can opt to have your slices of prime rib grilled to your preferred doneness, just ask the station chef and he'll have it served to your table fresh from the grill.

Lamb Skewers (L) and prime cuts of imported Beef (R) along with fresh seafood, pork, and chicken are just some of the choices at the Grill Station. Simply take your pick and the station chef does the rest, firing up the grill with your order.

A stop at the Asian Station tempts you with a comforting bowl of Egg Noodles with beef balls, fresh bok choy and vegetables in a light yet flavorful broth...

...while the Japanese Station offers an extensive selection of fresh handmade sushi and rolls, sashimi, yakitori, and teppanyaki, as well as tasty little bites of Takoyaki.

No matter how many times you tell yourself to slow down, resisting some of Market Cafe's sumptuous selection of assorted dim sum is next to impossible, so just go with the flow and grab a savory Pork Asado Bun from the steamer...

...along with other steamed dumplings. As you return to your table with plates loaded with sumptuous servings from Market Cafe's different stations...

...your seafood dishes await, with Oysters baked with cheese fresh from the oven...

...and a platter of the day's fresh catch, with Mussels, Clams and Shrimps sauteed in rich garlic butter. And it just doesn't get better, or fresher, than that.

There's nothing quite like round of sinful desserts to cap your feast at Market Cafe, so save room for dessert.

The indulgent Oreo Moussecake (L) and intricate Red Velvet (R) topped with fresh strawberries are just some of the temptations offered at the Dessert Station. Sweet pies, tarts, a Halo-Halo Station, and homemade ice cream definitely makes your visit to Market Cafe a worthy cheat day.

The rustic and traditional Bread and Butter Pudding caps another memorable feast at Market Cafe, topped with rich vanilla cream. Better yet, top it with ice cream and enjoy it with a freshly brewed cup of coffee. Looking back after four years since my first feature on Market Cafe along with my earlier posts on my blog, enjoying an indulgent dessert at Market Cafe highlights a continuing culinary journey of discovery, and there's more to come so enjoy the ride...
