Pork love and a cold craft brew. It's one cool collaboration that was bound to happen...

...combining for a cool and classic pairing. And it just makes perfect sense. Leonardo's Lechon and Pedro Brewcrafters introduce TheDrunken Lechon, the latest variant in the ever expanding line from one of the metro's oldest names in classic native lechons.

A family-run business, Leonardo's Lechon has been known for its signature Lechon Tagalog since 1947. And innovation never stops. Leonardo's Lechon adds a modern spin to its line of native lechons, from The Carnivore Lechon (more on my previous post here), and now The Drunken Lechon marinated with Pedro Craft Beer.

As The Drunken Lechon is expertly sliced and chopped by Leonardo's Lechon's long-time master carver, Mang July, the distinct aroma of sweet and malty notes of Pedro Brewcrafters'Elementary, English Ale rises to jumpstart your appetite. Its collaborations and innovations like this that keep Leonardo's Lechon updated and contemporary, after all, there's just nothing like native lechon paired with a cold craft beer.

A platter of chopped lechon, with tender and juicy pork capped by a layer of crisp crackling, is then served. The delicate and mildly sweet notes of The Drunken Lechon are complemented by the deep hints of Pedro Brewcrafters'Elementary, English Ale giving it depth.

Served with a thick native-style liver sauce, The Drunken Lechon is actually quite flavorful on its own, perfect with a cold Pedro Brewcrafters'Procrastination Pale Ale with its distinct clean and sharp notes to temper the richness of the juicy pork, cleansing the palate with every sip.

Marinated with Pedro Brewcrafters' Elementary, English Ale and slow-roasted for hours, The Drunken Lechon is another innovative concept taking the classic Lechon Tagalog to a new flavorful level. The Drunken Lechon and an ice-cold bottle of Pedro Brewcrafters Elementary, English Ale; Procrastination Pale Ale, and Endless Summer Wheat Ale...just perfect.
