An evening of fine wine and Spanish cuisine...it's La Cena by Gas3nomic Culinary Events.
Gas3nomic Culinary Events recreates a festive Spanish evening showcasing traditional Spanish cuisine paired with fine wine in another exciting pop-up dubbed La Cena, a Spanish food and wine pairing dinner. And just like the previous pop-ups by Gas3nomic, it was another unique culinary experience, this time with a distinct Spanish spin.
Gas3nomic's pop-ups have always offered unique culinary experiences (for more on Gas3nomic, see my previous post on Popping Up at the Gas3nomic Brunch), and this was yet another, adding to their impressive list of pop-ups. Paired with wines from Sommelier Selection, (for more on Sommelier Selection and their fine wines, visit their FB Page at https://www.facebook.com/sommelierselection), the stage was set for another memorable dinner.
That evening, a selection of classic Spanish wines were served by Sommelier Selection for each dish, from starters and tapas, mains, and desserts. And the wine kept flowing throughout the evening, adding a festive vibe to the classic Spanish dinner and wine pairing by Gas3nomic Culinary Events.
The open kitchen set-up offered a unique glimpse as diners get to see each dish prepared and served. Using innovative cookware from Saladmaster, each dish showcased the versatility of the premium cookware.
Saladmaster's range of premium cookware is made from superior surgical grade stainless steel for safe and healthier cooking, with a full line of cookware to meet any home or professional kitchen requirements. The bright sheen of the high-grade stainless steel sets Saladmaster apart from the usual stainless steel cookware.
Dinner began with tapas, including Mejillones Rellenos and Pan con Tomato y Jamon Serrano paired with a glass of refreshing and crisp Setze Gallets from Valencia, Spain...
...followed by a tasty fish course, the Escabeche, with red grouper cooked with orange, olives, and onions paired with a glass of Cullerot from Valencia, Spain.
The traditional Paella Valenciana, with rice, saffron, Chorizo de Bilbao, chicken, pork, shrimp, mussels, and clams, was then served next, paired with a robust red, the Verrnell from Valencia, Spain.
For the main course, we were served the Solomillo de Ternera, with beef tenderloin, tomato, rosemary, paprika, and garlic, paired with Reserve Grand Arc.
After a few more glasses of wine, dessert was served. Churros con Chocolate and Crema Catalana capped our Spanish dinner and wine pairing on a high note, paired with a sweet Clos des Verdots Moelleux. It was another unique pop-up, with each course prepared in full view at the open kitchen, and paired with a selection of premium wines. Can't wait for the next Gas3nomic pop-up...
